Services We Offer

Your financial life has a lot of moving parts. Our role is to bring them together.

One plan. Four pillars.
Every detail connected.

Your cash flow analysis is where the plan begins. From there, we coordinate the investment, tax, estate, and insurance work your situation calls for, along with the important needs that extend beyond those four pillars. Explore the services below to see how each part supports your broader financial picture.

Investments

Portfolio construction & management

We build and manage your portfolio to match what your cash flow plan says you need and when. Ongoing oversight keeps it aligned as your situation changes.

SequenceShield™ implementation (VAULt™ / TAMi™ / HARc™)

Our proprietary three-layer methodology positions every dollar by purpose and time horizon instead of a generic risk score. It’s designed specifically to defend against sequence-of-returns risk in retirement.

Rebalancing across account types

We rebalance holistically across your IRAs, Roths, trusts, and taxable accounts, not each one in isolation. This keeps your overall risk profile on target while managing taxes along the way.

Tax-efficient asset location

We decide which investments belong in which account type — taxable, tax-deferred, or tax-free — to minimize the drag taxes have on your returns. The right holding in the wrong account can quietly cost you every year.

Alternatives & private markets access

Through our registered fund, qualified clients can access private market strategies typically reserved for institutional investors. This adds diversification beyond what’s available in public markets alone.

Concentrated stock position management

If a large share of your wealth sits in one company’s stock — often from equity comp or a long career — we build a plan to manage that risk. That can mean diversification strategies, hedging, or a disciplined sell schedule.

Equity compensation investment strategy (RSU / ISO / NSO / ESPP)

Restricted stock, options, and employee stock purchase plans each come with their own tax and timing tradeoffs. We help you decide what to hold, what to sell, and when.

401(k) and employer plan advice & rollovers

We advise on your workplace retirement plan even when we don’t directly manage it, and help evaluate whether a rollover makes sense when you change jobs or retire. The decision gets made in the context of your full plan, not in isolation.

Held-away / model portfolio guidance for workplace plans

For accounts we can’t directly manage, like an employer 401(k), we provide model allocations that fit within your overall strategy. Your workplace plan stays coordinated with everything else, even without our direct access.

Manager and fund due diligence

When a strategy calls for outside managers or funds, we vet them for cost, consistency, and fit before recommending them. We continue monitoring after the fact rather than treating selection as a one-time decision.

Tax Planning & Preparation

Tax return preparation & filing

We prepare and file your federal and state returns, so your tax strategy and your tax filing stay in the same hands. Nothing gets lost in translation between planning and paperwork.

Quarterly estimated payment coordination

We calculate and track your quarterly estimated tax payments so you avoid underpayment penalties without overpaying and tying up cash unnecessarily. This is especially important in years with irregular income.

Tax-loss / gain harvesting

We look for opportunities throughout the year to realize losses that offset gains, or gains that make sense to take at a low-tax-bracket year. Done consistently, this can meaningfully reduce your lifetime tax bill.

Roth conversion analysis

We identify windows — often low-income years or gaps before Social Security and RMDs begin — where converting traditional retirement dollars to Roth makes the most sense. The goal is paying tax now at a lower rate instead of later at a higher one.

Withdrawal sequencing

The order you draw from taxable, tax-deferred, and tax-free accounts has a major impact on your lifetime tax bill. We build a sequencing strategy tied directly to your cash flow needs.

Charitable giving strategy (QCDs, DAFs, gifting appreciated stock)

We help structure charitable giving in the most tax-efficient way available to you, whether that’s qualified charitable distributions, donor-advised funds, or gifting appreciated stock directly. Giving well and giving efficiently aren’t mutually exclusive.

RMD planning

We calculate and plan around your required minimum distributions well before they’re due, watching for ways to soften their tax impact. Missing or mistiming an RMD carries real penalties, so this gets tracked proactively.

Social Security taxation optimization

How and when you claim Social Security affects not just your benefit, but how much of it gets taxed. We factor this into your broader withdrawal and income strategy.

Medicare IRMAA planning

Higher income can trigger Medicare surcharges (IRMAA) two years later, often catching retirees off guard. We plan income and withdrawals with this lookback in mind to help you avoid unnecessary surcharges.

Multi-state / relocation tax planning

Moving between states, or splitting time across more than one, creates tax complexity most people don’t anticipate. We help you understand the impact before you move, not after.

Backdoor & mega-backdoor Roth strategies

For higher earners who exceed normal Roth contribution limits, we evaluate and implement backdoor and mega-backdoor Roth strategies where appropriate. These require careful execution to avoid unintended tax consequences.

Small business / pass-through tax coordination (K-1s)

If you own a business or hold interests that generate K-1s, we coordinate that income into your overall tax and cash flow plan. Business and personal tax decisions get made together, not separately.

Estate Planning

Core documents (will, living trust, healthcare proxy, financial POA)

These are the four documents every adult needs, regardless of net worth. Without them, the state decides who makes decisions for you and how your assets are distributed.

Titling & beneficiary audit

How your accounts are titled and who’s named as beneficiary overrides what your will says, and it’s one of the most common, costly mistakes we see. We review this directly rather than assuming it’s correct.

Multigenerational transfer strategy

For families looking to pass wealth across generations, we help structure the transfer to minimize tax impact and reflect your actual intentions. This goes beyond basic documents into deliberate, long-term strategy.

Gifting strategy (annual / lifetime exclusion)

We help you use annual and lifetime gift tax exclusions strategically, whether the goal is reducing a taxable estate or simply helping family members now. Timing and structure both matter here.

Irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs)

An ILIT can keep a life insurance death benefit outside your taxable estate, which matters for larger estates. We coordinate this at the intersection of insurance and estate planning, where it belongs.

Charitable trusts (CRTs / CLTs) & legacy planning

Charitable remainder and lead trusts can combine philanthropic goals with income or tax benefits, depending on your structure. We help determine if one fits your broader legacy goals.

Special needs trusts

For families with a dependent who has special needs, we help structure a trust that provides for them without jeopardizing eligibility for government benefits. This requires careful, specific drafting coordinated with your attorney.

Guardianship planning

For parents of minor children, naming a guardian is one of the most important and most often postponed estate decisions. We make sure this gets addressed as part of your core documents, not left blank.

Digital asset / legacy planning

From online accounts to digital financial records, we help you think through what happens to your digital footprint and how your family or executor can access what they need. This is an increasingly overlooked piece of a modern estate plan.

Trust funding follow-through

A trust that’s signed but never funded doesn’t do its job. We follow through to make sure assets are actually retitled into the trust, not just drafted on paper.

Coordination with your attorney or ours

You can use your own estate attorney or tap into our vetted network across all 50 states. Either way, we act as the coordinating hub so your estate plan stays connected to your tax and investment strategy.

Insurance Planning

Life insurance needs analysis

We calculate how much life insurance you actually need to protect your family’s plan, based on your real cash flow and obligations, not a generic rule of thumb. We’re not selling policies, so the number reflects your situation, not a commission.

Disability income review

Disability income insurance protects your ability to earn, which is often the most overlooked risk in a financial plan. We review what you have and identify gaps for the years you’re alive but unable to work.

Long-term care planning

Long-term care is often the single largest late-life financial risk a family faces. We help you decide whether to cover it with insurance or deliberately self-insure, based on what your plan can support.

Liability & umbrella review

We review your liability exposure and umbrella coverage to make sure what you’ve built is actually protected. This is a balance-sheet risk that’s easy to underinsure without noticing.

Annuity review (no sales)

If you’re considering or already hold an annuity, we review it objectively against your plan. We don’t sell annuities, so the review has no incentive attached to it either way.

In-force policy audits

For insurance policies you already own, we periodically review them to confirm they’re still performing as intended and still needed. Coverage that made sense a decade ago may not fit your plan today.

Business owner coverage (buy-sell funding, key person)

For business owners, we help structure insurance that protects the business itself, including buy-sell agreement funding and key person coverage. This connects directly to your broader exit and succession planning.

Medicare / health coverage coordination via referral

We help you understand how Medicare and health coverage decisions fit into your broader retirement income and tax plan, and connect you with trusted referrals when needed.

Beyond the Four Pillars

Comprehensive written financial plan

This is the formal, written document that ties every pillar together, built from your cash flow analysis and updated as your life changes. It’s the foundation everything else in your plan flows from.

Cash management — “The Vault”

We structure your short-term reserves using cash management accounts, CDs, and treasuries, so the money you need soon stays safe and accessible. This keeps short-term needs from forcing long-term investment decisions.

Lending solutions (securities-backed lines of credit, mortgages)

We evaluate borrowing options like securities-backed lines of credit and mortgages in the context of your full financial picture, not as standalone transactions. The goal is making sure debt works for your strategy, not against it.

Business owner exit planning

For business owners, we help plan the eventual sale or transition of the business well before it happens, coordinating valuation, tax impact, and timing with your personal financial plan. Exit planning done early gives you far more options than planning done at the last minute.

College funding / 529 planning

We help you plan and save for education costs, including 529 account strategy, in a way that fits within your broader cash flow plan. Education goals get weighed against retirement and other priorities, not planned in a vacuum.

Divorce financial planning

We help clients navigate the financial side of divorce, from understanding asset division to rebuilding a plan for the next chapter. This is a specialized, sensitive area where coordination with your attorney matters.

Next-gen / family financial education

We work with the next generation in your family to build financial literacy and prepare them for eventual wealth transfer. This helps make sure a family’s plan and values carry forward, not just its assets.

Second-opinion portfolio review

If you already work with another advisor or manage your own investments, we’ll review your current portfolio and give you an honest, no-pressure second opinion. There’s no obligation attached to the review.

Let’s talk about your plan

Whether you’re just starting to think about your financial future or ready to make a change, a conversation is the best first step.
